YIPPEE - my buddy Cheri and I just finalized and booked our trip for January. A few days in St. Lucia (Bay Gardens Inn) and then the 12 day explorer to Grenada followed by a few days in Grenada (Allamanda Beach Resort).

And, even better - We timed the trip to end with the Grand Anse Sailing Festival!!! I have not been to that since Jump Up#2 years ago and Cheri has never had the opportunity to experience the sights and the food (Macaroni Pie here I come).

WOOHOO - I also was able to find flights down to St Lucia from California for only 390 per person which is a super deal on AA right now, and frequent flyer flights home( even if we are going to be seeing a lot of territory out of the plane windows on the way home).

I cannot wait to get down to those islands where I really belong and get my feet on that wonderful deck under sail.

Anyone out there sailing these dates??

WaaaHOO, Sounds great Kay! You are going to have a fab time as always.

Wish I could get down island in the winter, but (alas) I'll be hangin' out in Florida (cue the melodramatic music). Okay, I'm not feelin' much sympathy out there ...

Kay, that's a great cruise and you got fabulous airfares. Congratulations!!

I can honesty say that my day has gone completely downhill since my last post.

One of my greatest pet peeves is the automatic obsolescence of our electronics. Since this morning, I have had a major attack of electronic issues.

First, my wonderful VIAO laptop decided to reject the cover on the letter V on the keypad (which has made it extremely difficult to type that last sentence - from now on 'x' is 'v' for me....

Then, I recharged my cell for my trip up north to Oregon. I use a really cheapo phone and only use it for trips, etc. OOPS - SIM card out of date.
Only solution that will gixe me serxice tomorrow - buy a new phone.

Then, there is my camera, which is only 3 years old and is a wonderful Sony product. I really loxe my camera.... Suddenly the rechargeable batteries no longer work. Since the camera is a couple of years old, the batteries are not axailable in any stores, only on line. (That's being shipped to my destination)..

The message is, don't use electronics. They will just ruin your day.

But, I am still just too exited to go back to my faxorite ship in just a few more months....

And, Liz - you are so right. It's been 7 months and I am in bad need of a Vitamin Sea fix.

Oh Kay,
That is a gaggle of bad luck. I'm sure that will work out fine for you . I can only suggest as a back up plan that you carry a No. 2 yellow pencil. blow kiss

( note to self: don't fly on same planes as Kay)

Buddy,
Hopefully by January my hex on all things electronic will have totally disappeared. So far, this morning, nothing has happened. My lights came on, the AC is still working, the TV's OK and the coffee pot made coffee.

Life is good...
