The best half and myself are super excited to have our NYE plans on the calendar VERY early this year! The fact that those plans include sun, rum and a tall ship make it even sweeter!!!

Be prepared to plan your own party. We sailed with them this year
to ring in the New Year and were very disappointed that IWJ had made
no effort or special plans for guests to celebrate the occasion.

Make sure you stock up on good champagne in St. Bart's and bring party favours from home!

ANY time I'm out on the beautiful Caribbean waters, cruising in my favorite style, is a celebration. Sharing those special days with my life companion and best friend, some new acquaintances and perhaps a few old friends simply makes it better by a factor of 10. Sharing a special bottle of bubbly would be nice, but not required (no wine drinker, me - I'll opt for a good rum, thanks!).

Rip and Chip, I only wish we could be there too ... enjoy!

Saucy it would be great to have you aboard! We are low maintenance and do not need much. We are our own party! Not big champaigne folks so that isn't an issue for us either.

I've done St Barth's for NYE previously and I could take it or leave it. The fireworks were spectacular but all the hub ub was not for me. A quiet night aboard the ship, waves lapping at her hull with my best half by my side is all I require to ring in the New Year!

Rip& Chip,

Ahhh, Wish that I could be down island at that time. I don't think it is my cards for this year anyway. That sounds like my kind of "un-party" ... maybe a little quality sippin' rum, or some good beer, or beverages of choice, nice conversation, some quiet, reflective time. Yup.

You will have a superb time, as I'll bet you do wherever you travel!

Well.... Shiver me timbers this ole pirate made a major scheduling mistake! Luckily it's been fixed thanks to the wonderful folks at IWJ!!!

We're now set to sail Vela out of St Lucia on January 10 and this pirate will still have a job to come home too!

Another amazing trip with a great group of passengers. Crew was fabulous as always. I took minimal pics as I have just done so many of these!

Did the St Marteen route for NYE and the number of mega Yachts around was insane. In 15 years of visiting the Caribbean I have never seen Gustavia harbor so full.

Weather was perfect (minus the constant winds) and food fabulous. We had a drinking crowd so pretty much depleted the booze stores on the ship.
