It was a really cute and colorful little town. Can't wait to go back.

Stephanie Browne Primary School had a Literacy Extravaganza Day! Hats off for reading!!!

Guest who was there American guest speaker. Yep! and the parents were taking notes...

This school has the highest GPA and pass rates for the CXC. Additionally, they have a Rhodes scholar as one of their alumni.

The fellow sitting on the desk with the crazy hat is their cricket coach, music teacher and another subject. He also was my photographer.

Quite a crowd! Scholastic Books, a major education publisher has donated supplies to this school.

The program started with a prayer by the principal asking for help for those struggling with reading and for those who are helping. Then the St Vincent National Anthem was sung. I have that anthem videoed. This principal received/demanded respect; there was not a noise during her prayer.

I was introduced, did my thing, left so as not to miss the last launch, and chased across the cricket field by a teacher to get info as to when I would return with email addresses exchanged!

For me everyday is a teaching opportunity... right Val!

Fred,

Always teaching! And thanks for the tic tac toe multiplication lesson.

Glad you're over your pneumonia!

It's a bone-chilling 75 here. Had our first snow on Mauna Kea Sunday night when I got home. All gone by Tuesday.

As we neared Union Island on the way up to Chatham bay we could see what looked a flock of birds near Clifton. On the way back when we stopped at Happy Island it was obvious the birds were really “Kite Skiers”. The harbor was full of them. Clifton now has schools to teach those willing to risk it.

Happy Island
This daring young man flew over our boat several times. I thought for sure he would ask for a donation as he was very entertaining.

Another interesting thing to do is climb to the top of the hill to the hospital and you get an amazing view of the entire area.
