Thinking about A July 16-22 sailing on Sagitta, anyone else going? How is the rain in the Grenadines during July?
Last windjammer vacation was on the Legacy back in 2006, great times and great people....

Geez!!! You are way behind, for sure. Get on board, and you'll find many fine folk waitin' to get to know ya!

Since your last was a WBC trip, just an fyi in case you haven't checked checked it out, IWJ's Diamant and Vela are the true sailers, while Sagitta is a motorsailer and not so much sails up.

Yea it's been a while...
Vela was my first choice but we drug our feet and now the earliest available date is Aug 27th, so we are looking at the Sagitta in July.

3 PAX here - myself (James), wife (Eiko) and 18y old daughter (Yuki) ... looking forward to a great week in the sun on the Sagitta. I think the 3rd time we've been lucky enough to experience the Grenadines :-)

Anyone else here on board?!

FYI SailorJM, WBC's ship Legacy was also a motorsailer in the truest sense. One captain opined that if you put up her sails and turned off her engine, the only way she would go ... was backwards!! Sagitta may not be a "true sailing ship" but she more than makes up for that by being so very comfortable and roomy and user friendly.

Oh yes, Sagitta is definitely roomy, comfy and user-friendly...with some of nicest standard cabins in the fleet.
I never got to go on Legacy. The day we were to fly to Costa Rica and get on board was the day that it all hit the fan re Windjammer Barefoot Cruises—Oct 2007.
Many good, many bittersweet memories of WBC—with IWJ providing many many more good ones.

We sailed on Legacy for a friends 50th back in the 'can't remember the date'.
The cabins suffered from engine noise and trust me the engine was noisy!

A lot of lessons to be learned in these type of vacations. Trail and error with good and bad. I started @ 1993 with Flying Cloud. Did another one on FC and then one on Poly in ABC. Never had a problem. I liked the FC. Guess the first was is always the best. My two bad ones was Roseway out of St Thomas and Liberty in the Bahamas. Happy I found IWJ/Vela and Diamant. If only the airlines with make getting to Grenada easier.
