Hey Alex and Theresa & Kim and Luther ,
I haven't looked or posted in a while, but it's getting close now. I saw y'all had had a discussion about flights in May. We were also affected. Our flight on Tuesday totally cancelled. Now we are arriving on Wednesday also. (They tried to have us just end in Miami also and Bob spent several hours on phone correcting that.)

We leave from National Airport in DC and layover in Miami. We will look for anyone else in Miami. We are probably going to take one of the taxi tours of the island on Thursday, I read a review on cruise critic of someone who did that and it looked fun.

Can't wait to meet everyone.

Renee and Bob Hi

check out Mandoo tours. I did one with him the first time I went to Grenada and it was great. He is easy to understand and has a microphone so everyone can hear. Beware of the Grenada bus tour!

Thanks Caribbean girl for the info on Mandoo tours!
I think we are going to go to Belmont estate on thursday and maybe Grand Etang Lake. Any advise on the best way to get there from Point Salines? We were thinking of taking the bus grin

Mandoo includes both of those places in his tours or at least the one I did.

YOu might try emailing him to see what is possible. We saw Carib's Leap, the North side of the island where the Atlantic ocean is, Grand Etang, Belmont Estate and the Rivers rum distillery.

All of which is a great tour by a fantastic guide! I highly recommend him.

Oh man, this string has me green with envy. We have to wait til Nov. 17 for our next trip on Diamant. But I'm making note of Mandoo for tours. Ours is a Wanderer cruise: 9 nights (St. Lucia to Grenada). and I guarantee that after you complete your 6-night sailing, you WILL all be green with envy about my 9-niter. You will so love Diamant and her crew....you're in for a real treat "when the boat comes in"!!*

I received an email from Monja about transfers. Has anyone used her to handle that for them? It seems like a good way to go.

We are looking at doing a half day tour with Mandoo and there are three choices. If its my only day to tour, which one does everyone recommend? I do want to do some shopping.

Definitely use Monja for the transfers. She does this every week and has some very reliable drivers. Another must is going to the spice market in St George's or there is a small one down the beach from the Allamanda. If you can't see everything, you may just have to come back!
