What are the favored St. Lucia hotels nearest the dock?

We stayed at Ginger Lily in August, a small boutique hotel. I highly recommend it! Large rooms, nice staff, breakfast included.

I stayed at both BLU and Ginger Lily. Both very close to everything
you will need.
Blu is a bit nicer than Ginger Lily for about the same price. BLU has a
MUCH nicer pool area if that matters to you. Their breakfast, restaurant
and bar service was better than Ginger Lily.

Have fun!

What/where is BLU? Is that initials for something, or the actual name of the establishment? just curious.

I find the area around Rodney Bay to be a bit of a jumble. I never know how to find anything. I was under the impression from the posts about Jammerfest planning that places like Ginger Lily and Bay Gardens were within walking distance of the Marina proper ... and they are not. Some are located on the other side of the (man-made) lagoon.

Could that be True Blue Bay Resort, in Grenada?

BLU is not an acronym for anything. Its official name might me Harlequin
Blu. It is in ST. Lucia. Just down the street from Ginger Lily and directly
across from Bay Gardens BEACH RESORT.

The Bay Gardens Inn and Hotel are more in the downtown area and
closer to the marina area, but a longer walk to the beach.
Bay Gardens does offer a free shuttle service from the downtown hotels
to the BEACH resort every half hour or so.

Hope that helps you out. I can answer more questions if you need too.

Good Luck!

If you want to be close to the airport, heliport and docks. Rendezvous is walking distance to all. Only stay their one night before sailing but they go way out of their way to treat you very special.

The only airport that one is close to is the small regional airport. I'm not a fan of helicopters ... UVF is still over an hour away from there.

We had a great stay at the Bay Gardens Beach Resort in July. The property is right on the beach, it's modern, has a great staff, and only a short cab ride to the dock. The waiters serve you drinks and food "on the beach" which is great since "happy hour" was from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM and then from 5:00 PM until around 7:00 PM (happy hour is 2 for 1 drinks). If you are spending a few day before or after your sail I highly recommend this property. They have their own shuttle that goes between the beach property and the "town" property so getting a ride to do some shopping is no problem (and free). The fun part is you can see the ship waiting for you out in the bay and watch the launch go back and forth.

If after a sail you want to stay a few days down near the International Airport...any hotel recommendations?
If not im booking the helicopter again. Which I may book anyway to get to said hotel. It was a pretty cool ride.
